It feels cheap and it looks like some just printed a sheet of paper which looks like wood and applied it to the top. The bottom doesn't even have the vaneer applied and looks like painted MDF. It's made from I would say some wood pieces but the actual top is laminate- it looks really real which is great but it's not real wood. That's why I give 4 star instead of 5. Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2021 Color: Multi/Brown Verified Purchase this is the easiest dining table i have ever assembled in my life. if you have a shred of common sense you'll be able to figure it out without even looking at the directions.. in fact, the actual directions were slightly confusing because it labels one set of legs as set "A" and the other as set "B" but the same series of numbers and letters were written on each box so I couldn't decipher the two.. but it really didn't matter because they are only able to line up to the screw holes a certain way. line up the legs, put a washer on a screw and then screw them all in. simples. one word of advice though, this table is very heavy.. im 5'0" and 120 pounds and although I figured out how to turn it over by myself, if you are able to get someone to help out please do so that you don't risk injuring yourself in the process (but maybe im just out of shape). extremely sturdy, not wobbly at all. I was worried that the legs were too short and the table would rest low as I was assembling it but that isn't the case. im on the fence about the color of the "wood" but I figure I can always stain it later if I really want to. **UPDATE: after our first meal on this table the top started to bubble/warp because of the hot plates. I had even bought heat resistant placemats but when you spend over $300 on a new dining table you would expect it to last awhile past the first meal. I'm disappointed in the quality because the table itself feels heavy and the underside appears to be wood but the top (the important part) is not quality.

It was super easy to assemble, and it's very sturdy. It was delivered about 2 days after I ordered it - even though it said it would take longer when I ordered.
Overall I'm happy with my choice!
